Cat Centre Button Day 29th January 2010

On Friday 29th January, Cat Centre staff and volunteers will have an information table in the Cat & Fiddle arcade, opposite OPSM.  We will have information about the impending Cat Management Legislation, as well as our Centre facilities.  You will also see our "Purple People" waving donation tins around town.  Gold coin donations get a lovely Cat Centre badge, and all other donations will get you a support sticker!  If you see us, please come and say gidday, and please give generously for our cats!

Microchip Awareness Day...Find you PURR-FECT Match February 14th 2010

Come and find your PURR-FECT Match!

From mid 2010, a new State Government Law will mean all domestic cats will need to be microchipped and desexed.  On Sunday February 14th, you can bring your Puss to the Cat Centre and we'll be happy to chip them for you, for just $25.00 each.  Bookings are essential...please phone 6278 2111 to book Puss in.
As it is also St Valentines Day, why not let us find you your PURR-FECT Match.  Let our friendly staff and volunteers match you up with a new family member for you to adopt.  All adoptions on the day get a prize from Hills Science Diet, and a photo of you and your new family member as a momento.  While you're at the Centre you can also chat to Vet-Nurse Abbey about pet nutrition.  Everyone who comes to the Centre on the 14th will get a ticket to our lucky door prize - a HILLS HAMPER!

Quiz Night - 31st October

Great night had by all.

The Centre held it's first ever Quiz Night at the Lenah Valley RSL on Saturday 31st October.  What a huge success it was!  It's something we'll do annually, so stay tuned to hear about our next one in 2010  Many thanks to the fabulous local businesses who helped out the centre with donations of prizes for our event.

Christmas Raffle 2009!

Third Prize winner - Ivo with his Music Package!

On Monday 21st December we drew our Christmas raffle......First prize was a terrific camera package won by Poppy-Rose Green; second was a $50 voucher from the Prince of Wales Hotel and a bottle of wine won by Evelyn Vadasz; third prize a music book collection won by Ivo Bartonek (pictured left), fourth prize a handstiched cat cushion won by Janine and Jason Churchill, and fifth prize "Scruff" the plush toy puppy was won by Clare Swinton.
Many thanks for those who bought tickets...our next big raffle will be for Easter 2010!!!
