Op-Shops
The Hobart Cat Centre has two successful, volunteer-run op-shops.
The Black Cat Op-Shop has just reopened at our wonderful new premises at 437 Main Road. For those unsure...it's just across the road from the old shop, and on the Northgate Shopping Centre corner. We require volunteers to assist us and would welcome people to work 1 day per week to help us out. If you think you can assist, please call the Cat Centre on 6278 2111 and register your interest. The shop is now open for trading Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm, and we will be open for trade on Saturdays very shortly.
The Hobart Cat Centre Op-Shop opened in 1996 at Blackmans Bay Shopping Centre. It has since relocated to 1717 Channel Highway, Margate. In a short time, the shop is not only paying its way, but also making enough profit to assist in the every day running of the Cat Centre. It took no time for the shop to attract a regular clientele, largely due to our exceptional volunteers.
If you are looking for a bargain, why not visit one of our Op-Shops? Alternatively, if you have any items in good condition that you would like to donate please contact the Centre. All proceeds go towards helping the cats and kittens of the Hobart Cat Centre.
Op-Shop opening hours:
Glenorchy: Monday to Friday 10am-4.00pm. Saturday to be advised.
Margate: Monday to Friday 10am-3.30pm. Saturday 10am to 1pm (summer only).
Cat Centre Store
The Cat Centre Store is located at our new premises at 12 Self's Point Road, New Town. We sell a range of products for your new cat or kitten such as:
- collars combs
- litter
- litter trays
- food and treats
- food bowls
- cat beds
- toys
- cat carriers (to transport your cat)
- assorted cat themed knick-knacks!
